Ubisoft officially confirms SC 'delay'
Conviction has been locked away with no chance of parole, due for release sometime between April 2009 and March 2010

Ubisoft has officially delayed Splinter Cell: Conviction until its 2009-2010 fiscal year, news that had been 'unofficially' revealed by Gamezine back in May this year.
The next instalment in the venerable stealth-action franchise will now see the light of day some time between April 2009 and March 2010.
Previously, it has been scheduled for the first quarter of 2009.
In May, we reported that Ubisoft were going to take the game "back to the drawing board" and move it to the Christmas of 2009 - or even as late as spring 2010.
Which is how it has turned out, in fact.
It is likely the decision was made after Conviction was deemed to be lagging behind more recent Ubisoft titles, such as Assassin's Creed.
Seems like they now have a lot of time to make sure the Splinter cell series gets a real kickstart.
